Handstand push-up progressions
Handstand push-up is one of my calisthenics goal! When executed smoothly, it can be such an elegant skill!

Right now, I know that I am far from being strong enough to “really” train this skill. However, I do enjoy playing during my gymnastics training and try a few things. Here is mys first attempt at doing the negative portion of a (straddle) 90° handstand push-up. It turned out that I did not collapse on the ground.
I should aim to gain control on my handstand and greatly improve bent arm strength. From my arched back, one can also see that I lack core strength and/or back/pelvis control.
